‚Äč10/22/2017 - Version 1.3.0 - For SALSA 1.5.1, moved component menus to better organize for future releases. The following scripts have been removed, these features were depricated in SASLA 1.5.0 to make way for the more natural random eye movement algorithm. Deleting these files prior to upgrading to SALSA 1.5 will prevent errors, though you can also delete them after you upgrade and errors appear.

Free PlayMaker addon for SALSA with RandomEyes

Be sure to install the SALSA with RandomEyes and PlayMaker Assets into your project before importing this addon. This addon includes three comprehensive example scenes that demonstrate many of the actions and events. Once installed, the example scenes can be found in the following folder:

 
  • Crazy Minnow Studio -> SALSA with RandomEyes -> Third Party Support -> PlayMaker -> Scenes

All SALSA with RandomEyes actions can be found in the Action Browser under the category (SALSA with RandomEyes). All key SALSA with RandomEyes public API methods have a corresponding Playmaker Action. Please reference the Classes, Methods, & Properies section of the SALSA with RandomEyes manuals for more information. The manuals can be found here:

 

In addition to the core actions, we have also included the following custom actions to improve the Playmaker workflow when using SALSA with RandomEyes:

 

  • RandomEyes3dSetGroup
    • Use RandomEyes 1.4's Group feature to active/deactivate complex, muli-shape, facial expressions.
  • RandomEyes3dSetGroupDuration
    • Use RandomEyes 1.4's new Group feature to active complex, muli-shape, facial expressions for a specified duration.
  • RandomEyesConvertLookPositionToString
    • Converts a look position enum to a string and stores it in a variable.
  • RandomEyesLookSwitch
    • Privides a look position test that fires an event when the look position variable matches one of the tests.
  • RandomEyesLookTest
    • Provides a look position test that fires an event when the look position variable matches the test.

SALSA with RandomEyes Event System and PlayMaker

To utilize the SALSA with RandomEyes event system, we have provided five helper scripts, described in the included ReadMe.txt file, that forward events and event properties to Playmaker FSM's.

 

  1. Choose the helper scripts you wish to use.
  2. Add the script to you FSM GameObject.
  3. Add the Event and Variables for the corresponding helper script.
  4. Add a new State to your FSM.
  5. Add a Global Transition to the corresponding Event, this is where events will be triggered and their properties can be read.  

The SALSA with RandomEyes PlayMaker event helper scripts can be found in the Unity Component menu under:
