The Crazy Minnow and Placeholder Software teams have been working behind the scenes to bring real-time lip-sychronization and networked voice-chat together in an awesome-sauce concoction of delectable goodness. The latest versions of the two products (SALSA Lip-Sync and Dissonance Voice Chat) bring:
- An easy integration pipeline.
- 2D and 3D lip-sync.
- Local and remote player lip-sync.
To take advantage of lip-sync-enabled voice-chat, please read the requirements documentation.
TUTORIAL: To help jumpstart your integration, we have put together a detailed tutorial explaining how to get networked voice chat and lip sync up and running using Unity Networking, SALSA Lip-Sync, & Dissonance Voice Chat. We also have a companion video for the tutorial (basically replaces words with moving pictures for those of you that don't like to read). ;)

Mac users, please note: if Archive Utility is set to "Keep expanding if possible", when you open the .zip file, the unitypackage file itself will also be decompressed. If you disable this option in Archive Utility, the file extraction should work appropriately.
It seems Apple is doing its best to try and hide the Archive Utility. Using Finder, click Go > Computer, then navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications, Archive Utility should now be accessible--launch it. Select Archive Utility > Preferences and then uncheck the option to "Keep expanding if possible".
